in 1996,The International Diving Institute was
established as the East Coast Dive Connection LLC in 1996 and
has been actively engaged in teaching diving since that date.
Its name was officially changed to International Diving
Institute LLC in 2004.

Diving Institute is recognized as the premier facility for
training commercial divers in the United States. Along with
our 16 week Commercial Diver Training Program we offer additional
electives and courses of study related to sport and
commercial diving.
Advanced
Classes for both Scuba and Air/Mixed Gas Surface Supplied Diving
Each IDI
elective course (advanced class) that a diver takes increases the
diver's overall effectiveness and thus his worth to his employer.
Each elective should be thought of as an investment in a diver's
future. Employer are quick to determine when a diver has
exceptional skills are knowledge in an area that is needed. Be it welding and burning ,
NDT, or pneumatics and hydraulics the
extra capabilities that you've earned can help to attain your
goals more rapidly once you are on the job. Whether
you dive in the deep sea or in hazardous waste, the respect you
get is real.

International Diving Institute is a State licensed school offering
instruction and certification in the field of Commercial Diving
(Deep-Sea Diving) 1

This course is an excellent course for divers interested in

A hands-on course to teach students proper techniques and
safety procedures to use fork lifts and cranes in the marine
environment. The prerequisite to this course is basic
rigging.
- NASE
Recreational Sport Diving Instructor

This prepares a career oriented diver for training
Recreational SCUBA divers. Includes NASE Diving
Instructor Certification.
- Hydraulic
& Pneumatics

Design, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of
Hydraulic and Pneumatic Systems as they are used in commercial

recompression chambers and treatment tables are used. This is a hands on experience.
- Basic
Underwater Photography

The basics of underwater photography. How to gain
positive results on every dive with your underwater
photography gear.
- Advanced
Underwater Photography

For the diver who is already involved with underwater
photography. This course takes you to the next level and helps
you achieve professional results with your underwater
photography.
- Technical
Underwater Video

This course teaches the basics in underwater video
production. This course covers video applications for
underwater inspection in the commercial environment as well as
documentary video productions.

Search and Recovery Techniques

This course covers current techniques and tools needed for
underwater search and recovery. This course is
beneficial for anyone involved in search and recovery efforts
with law enforcement agencies as well as advanced divers who
want to increase their skill levels in this area.
